Just installed Wazo, how do I configure sip soft phone?

For the last 2 days I have struggled to get a SIP client connection to a freshly installed Wazo platform.

I followed the installation guide on the website, and everything went on smoothly. I am able to login to the Wazo ui, all fine. I create a new user, created a line. all fine.

But I can’t seem to get a sip client connection working. I am using Zopim, and Sippy.

I don’t think I am entering the settings wrong. I put in the sip domain, username and password. Nothing. Just an error 408. I checked firewall settings, and doesn’t look like that’s the problem, port 5060 is open.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello, are you using the sip line credentials or the user credentials? Can you show us some logs from asterisk or sip capture.

Thanks for the reply @quitana. I really appreciate.

Apparently there was no log on the asterisk end, which made me think the service is not getting this request.

Later found out it was a simple firewall issue.

For anyone deploying Wazo on a Google VM instance, remember to create firewall rules that will allow sip connections.
